The Decisive Spider

In a country, there lived a mighty king. He ruled his country wisely. He had won all the battles he had fought in his life.

Once, he lost a battle against a large army. All his soldiers had died and his throne had been seized. He escaped from the battlefield and ran into a forest. He found an empty cave and started living in it. He never came out of the cave and went hungry for many days. He was immensely depressed and had lost the desire to live. He gazed at the walls of the cave waiting for his death. In this way, several weeks passed until something interesting caught his attention.

A spider was weaving a web across the rocks of the wall. Whenever he climbed a little, a thread broke and he fell down. The same thing happened again and again. But, the spider didn’t lose hope.

The king watched the spider with great interest. The spider struggled hard to climb the wall and finish weaving the web. Gradually, success came to him and the web was complete. The king was very happy. “The spider has taught me the real meaning of life,” he said to himself.

With new energy and valor, he decided to fight again. He returned to his country, secretly made a new army, and fought with the ruler. This time, he had faith in himself. He defeated his enemy and acquired his throne and kingdom.

Moral: Keep trying and success will come your way.
