In a peaceful valley, a clever little goat named Bella was grazing on fresh, green grass. She enjoyed the sunshine, unaware that a hungry wolf was watching her from behind the bushes. The wolf licked his lips and thought, “That little goat will make a delicious meal.”
The wolf stepped forward with a fake smile and said, “Hello, dear Goat! You look tired from all that grazing. Why don’t you come to my side of the hill? The grass is much greener, and I would love to be your friend.”
Bella was no fool. She knew wolves were dangerous and had heard stories about their tricks. She took a step back and said, “Oh, that sounds wonderful! But before I come, let me ask the wise old owl if it’s safe.”
The wolf’s smile faded. If the owl got involved, his trick would be exposed. He didn’t want the other animals to know his plan. “Oh, no need to ask the owl,” he said quickly. “I promise I’m a good friend.”
But Bella shook her head and called out, “Wise Owl, are you there?”
Hearing this, the wolf panicked. He feared the owl would warn everyone about him. Without saying another word, he turned and ran into the forest.
Bella laughed and said, “Better safe than sorry!” She continued grazing, knowing she had outsmarted the wolf.
Moral: Wisdom and caution keep us safe.
