On a hot summer day, a thirsty goat wandered in search of water. He found a deep well and saw a fox inside. “How did you get there?” the goat asked.
The fox smiled and said, “The water here is the sweetest you’ll ever taste! Jump in and have a drink!”
Without thinking, the goat jumped into the well. After quenching his thirst, he realized he was trapped. “How do we get out?” the goat asked.
The fox climbed onto the goat’s back and jumped out. “You should have thought before jumping in!” the fox laughed and ran away, leaving the goat stuck in the well.
Moral: Think before you act.
