The Fox and the Crow

The Fox and the Crow

One bright morning, a clever fox was strolling through the forest when he saw a crow sitting on a tree branch. The crow had a big, tasty piece of bread in her beak.

The fox’s mouth watered. He wanted that bread! So, he looked up at the crow and said, “Oh, beautiful crow! Your feathers are so shiny. You must have the most wonderful voice. Would you sing a song for me?”

The crow, feeling proud, opened her beak to sing—but oh no! The bread fell right down!

The fox quickly grabbed it and laughed. “Thank you for the snack!” he said, running away.

The crow sighed. She had been tricked! Next time, she would be more careful.

Moral of the story: Think before you act, and don’t fall for sweet words too easily!
